Car Ride Line

We are in need of your help with the car rider line in the morning and afternoon each day.  Our procedures are in place for the safety of your child and to help the car line run smoothly.  We are requesting the following:

  • Stay in your cars in the mornings and afternoons.
  • Supervision of students does not begin until 8:15 a.m.  Parents should not drop off students prior to this time.
  • Car seats need to be placed on the passenger side of the back seat of the car so that school personnel can assist younger children out of the car.  This also allows parents to stay in their cars.
  • In the afternoons, parents should not walk up to get their child.  Please stay in your car.  This is for the safety of your child and all our students and helps the car line to move faster.
  • If you park your car and walk up to get your child, you will be required to go into the school and check out your child.
  • Do not drop students off at the entrance to the bus lane in order to avoid the car rider line. This blocks our buses from turning in and is also a safety concern.
  • In the afternoons, all car riders must have a car tag on their rear view mirror.  This is a security measure that we have in place for our students.  You have until Wednesday, August 27th to get your car tag.  Please see Mrs. Heckle at the desk in the front lobby to receive your tag.  Be prepared to present your driver’s license.  Beginning Thursday, August 28th, you will need to park your car and come into the school to check out your child if you do not have a car tag.
  • A student is considered tardy when they arrive after 8:35 a.m. and must be accompanied by a parent into the school to receive a tardy slip before going to class.
